LISTER TYPE DIESEL ENGINE.   MODEL GM90 (LISTEROID)
These are single Cylinder, heavy duty, stationary diesel engines designed for long duration runtimes and years of economical
service. Our engines are capable of operating loads in the 4hp to 8hp range and are sized to match up with our
Voltmaster generators or any other compatible generator supplied by the owner.
For those who prefer to acquire the engine and generator pre-assembled on a common frame, this is also available.

WHY AN OLDER STYLE, SLOW SPEED DIESEL?
Whether it's off-grid power, self-sustainability, co-generation, or emergency situations, a reliable and simple system is
important. The engines we offer are a design originating from the RA Lister company of England back in the 1930's.
They are manufactured by several companies in India and are still a very important part of industry, agriculture,
and small scale power generation in Africa, South Asia, India and many other countries
Their ease of repair, low priced spares, and long service life make them ideal for remote or off-grid applications.
The engines are capable of running on alternate fuels such as Biodiesel, and if the fuel is prepared properly they can
run on waste Vegetable Oils and even used Engine Oil.
Energy Machines' engines are factory assembled to our own specific requirements and in such a way as to ensure
optimum quality and reliability. The engines run at low speed (750 and 900 rpm) and as a result, are relatively quiet when operating.
Physical size of our GM90 is about 30% smaller than the original Lister which aids in transport and placement. (Pictures)
When repairs become necessary, we maintain a good inventory of spare parts at very reasonable prices.

Features of the GM90 Engine:

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Type:               Single cylinder, cold start, Lister style diesel engine

Combustion:    Direct Injection combustion with recessed aluminum alloy piston.

Rotation:         Standard clockwise rotation when viewed from flywheel end, with Intake & Exhaust on the left hand side.

Lubrication:    The engine's internal moving parts are partially lubricated by splash lubrication. The crankshaft journal
and connecting rod bearings are force lubricated by a plunger type lubricating oil pump. (Pictures)

Bearings:        The crankshaft is supported by large Timken style Tapered Roller Bearings. The connecting rod uses
                         replaceable babit bearing shells. (Pictures)

Cooling:          Water cooled. A radiator, heat exchanger, or Cooling tank must be added to the unit.

Balancing:      The engine has a counterbalanced crankshaft. Flywheels are also balanced to facilitate smooth operation.

Fuel supply:   The engines have an 11 liter fuel tank attached. Fuel is gravity fed through a wire mesh filter in the fuel tank
to an efficient paper element fuel filter and directly into the fuel injector pump.
